ABOUT 

​

Oliver Egger is an Assistant Editor at Wesleyan University Press, The Kim-Frank Fellow in Creative Writing at Wesleyan’s Shapiro Center for Creative Writing and Criticism, and a Contributing Writer at The Boston Globe and The Provincetown Independent.

 

He is the editor of I Ask My Mother to Sing
Mother Poems of Li-Young Lee
(Wesleyan University Press, 2025), I Said That Love Heals From Inside: Love Poems of Yusef Komunyakaa (Wesleyan, 2024),  and The Route 9 Anthology: A Collection of Writing from Wesleyan University Students, Faculty, Staff, & Middlesex County Residents (Wesleyan, 2022). He was the founder of The Route 9 Literary Collective in Middletown, CT. 

 

His writing can be found in The Brooklyn Rail, The Hartford Courant, The Florida Review, Pangyrus Literary Magazine, The California Quarterly, Oyster River Pages, The 2023 CT Literary Anthology, and elsewhere.  He was selected as a 2023 Connecticut Student Poet by the Connecticut Poetry Circuit.

He is a graduate of Wesleyan University class of 2023 and was born and raised in Durham, NC.
