ABOUT

​

Oliver Egger is a writer and editor based in New Haven, CT. He is a Consulting Editor at Wesleyan University Press and on staff at The Yale Review. 

 

He is the editor of I Ask My Mother to Sing
Mother Poems of Li-Young Lee
(Wesleyan University Press, 2025), I Said That Love Heals From Inside: Love Poems of Yusef Komunyakaa (Wesleyan, 2024), and The Route 9 Anthology: A Collection of Writing from Wesleyan University Students, Faculty, Staff, & Middlesex County Residents (Wesleyan, 2022). He founded The Route 9 Literary Collective in Middletown, CT. 

 

His is writing can also be found in The Boston Globe, The Believer, The Brooklyn Rail, The Provincetown Independent, The Hartford Courant, The Florida Review, Pangyrus Literary Magazine, The California Quarterly, Oyster River Pages, The 2023 CT Literary Anthology, and elsewhere. 

 

He is received the 2025-2026 Rosalyn-Carter Fellow in Mental Health Journalism and was selected as a 2023 Connecticut Student Poet by the Connecticut Poetry Circuit.

He is a graduate of Wesleyan University class of 2023 and was born and raised in Durham, NC.
